CHANGE PIN/PASSWORD

 Change PIN for Africell, Orange and Qcell EVCs.

Africell EVC: *127*OldPIN*NewPIN# 

If it is a new EVC SIM, then the default PIN is 0000 or 1234 (or 1111 if someone else changed it in order to prevent SIM recycling)

Let say you were using 2022 and want to change it to 2023.  In this case 2022 is the old PIN or current PIN and 2023 is the new PIN.

*127*2222*2023# and send.

Orange EVC: *433*4*1*NewPIN*NewPIN*CurrentPIN# 

Note: error message like this "Orange info: PIN should consist of 4 non-consecutive digits".  You should not use 1234;

QCell EVC:

*128# select 3. (Manage Account); select 2. (Change PIN); enter old PIN; then enter new PIN and re-enter new PIN.

Repeated numbers are rejected by both Orange and Qcell. See the example below:

According to them, it is for security reasons; these are too easy to guess by hackers or thieves.

What to do if you can't remember your password?

 It is common, especially if you are not using it for an extended period of time.

You should write it and keep it safe.

If at all you can't remember, call customer care 111 as a normal user.

They will reset it provided all the details are correct.

As for an agent, in most cases he is referred to the nearest office as person not online.

After the PIN reset, the default PIN is 0000

How to change Orange M2U (Me to you)?

Go to message and create message. 

Then enter: 

PIN OldPIN NewPIN 

Send it to this number 432

Example:

PIN 2022 2023

and send it to 432
