EDSA is responsible for electricity distribution and maintenance in Sierra Leone. There are two main sources where they generate their electricity from

  1. Bumbuna Dam (in the province)
  2. Turkish Ship in the sea (in Freetown).

EDSA has six (6) aggregators:

  1. Vendtech
  2. I-Pay Services
  3. Mercy Holding
  4. Lynx
  5. Africell Money
  6. Orange Money

The aggregators get 3% from EDSA.

They give 1% to their vendors and the 2% goes to megabytes, rolls, salaries etc.

Vendtech is widely used by many vendors.

How to get a machine?

The applicant is required to bring two passport pictures. He should give his home address and point of sale (POS).
He should deposit five million Leones which in return will be credited to his machine account and the vendor will start doing his sales.

Account is created for every vendor and password.

For Vendtech the account number starts from 5000. There are accounts as 5000; 5001; 5002; 5003; 5077 ect...

When a vendor deposits money, he is credited in his account.

For I-Pay Services it goes like these 1050; 1068; 1075

Check Meter Balance

Dial 07 and press ok button.

Error Messages

"Customer has insufficient balance

This means the balance for the said Aggregator has finished.

"No response from server"

It means the internet is weak on either side of EDSA server or the ISP Provider (SIM).

When this error shows in Vendtech Machine, it means the token has already been processed. Just press the ok button and print it.

(I will add more error Messages on this page later inshallah...)
