When does a mobile money SIM get blacklisted?
Mobile money SIM is blacklisted in order to protect the rightful owner from unauthorized use of his mobile wallet.
The word is used interchangeably "blacklisted, blocked or barred".
- When someone attempts three times consecutively his password and it turns out to be wrong.
- When someone attempts three times to withdraw all the money in the account and doesn't subtract the charges.
- When the owner lost his SIM and call customer service to blacklist it.
- When the SIM received wrong transaction, it's barred until the reversal is done.
To unblock your SIM you should call customer care and tell them what has happened.
Sometimes it is solved online - provided you are properly registered otherwise the you are required to go to the office in order to resolve your problem.
