SIM REPLACEMENT

To replace a SIM

You go to the nearest branch or outlet.
Present your ID card. Give three numbers you called even if the numbers are from other networks.
You get a blank SIM from them. The activation may be instant from the branch and takes 1 - 24 hours from an outlet or other location.

You may sometimes find it difficult to replace Africell SIM; even though you give them correct numbers you used to call, the system is still showing "not valid error message". This is due to an unknown technical problem.

As the SIM lost, you replace it; it may be better but the more you delay the more difficult it becomes.

As for Qcell, you should make sure the details in the ID card is corresponding to that of the system. If it is not, visit the nearest branch or outlet. You may even call 111 to complete your registration before losing the SIM.

If you lost it already while it's not properly registered with your name, there is still hope.

Avoid mistakes

As an agent, when someone meets you for replacement, the first thing you do is to dial the lost number and see whether it is on or off. You must always do this. Make it a point of duty.

If the number is on, ask the person how come. He may be right if it is stolen but in most cases when a phone is stolen it is switched off in order to avoid calls from the owner.
